One day Summer Getaway to Heyri Art Valley - The Loveliest Art Village 헤이리예술마을 파주 당일치기 여행추천지

How was your day? If you followed my blog or my instagram for awhile probably you were already knew that weekends are precious day at least for me, no holiday during the summer and winter because I need to works on my project for the whole weekdays, that’s why I always want to plan and spend my precious day wisely. I’m not a big fan of crowded, busy, and noisy place, shopping too mainstream for me, of course I love shopping but isn’t something that you will do for everyweek right?

I want some pleasant escape from the hustle and bustle of Seoul and Incheon, walking through the dreamy village and sit against the unobstructed backdrops of forest and hills, winding paths, streams, flower beds, ponds, pretty squares, beautiful buldings tumbling down the river, café, riding a bikes , taking a sip of my latte with sights of the green grass and tree what a dreamer huh?

So that’s why last weekend I decided to go to Heyri Art Village, the name of the village was quoted from “Sound of Heyri” the traditional farming song at Paju province in Gyeonggi-do. I never been go to Paju during my 9 -mo here in Korea.  What a picturesque getaway, located around 20 miles at the northwest of Seoul with North Korea across the border, and can be reach easily by public transportation( sit on the left side of the bus and you could see the banks of barbed wire lined Han river and armed checkpoint watchtowers. It will be better if you come earlier because Heyri it self is relatively big complex with museums, art galleries, workrooms and experience studio, café, and restaurants definitely plenty to see here.

I went there around 1pm from Incheon and arrive around 3 pm? because I thought it will be rainy all day long due to the thypoon..( well it was rain in the end but thanksfully I managed to take some picture but sadly I can’t visit the English village, Provence village, and Nuri park definitely need to come again next time >.<)

Transportation
From Seoul take the inner circle line subway (green line 2) to Hapjeong Station [합정역] . From exit 2 of this station take bus number 2200 and you can choose to take off at the entrance of the village by;  “Heyri Gate numbe r 4 [Heyri Sa Bon Geiteu]  헤이리4번게이트”, “Gyeongmo Park Front – Heyri Gate number 6 [Gyeong Mu GongWon Ap Heyri Yukbon Geiteu]  경모공원앞 헤이리6번게이트”, “Bobheung 3 ri – Heyri Gate number 8 [Bobheung sam ri-Heyri palbon Gaiteu] 봅흥3 헤이리8번게이트” , or at Paju English Village- [Paju Yongo Maeul ]파주영어마을 if you want to go to English village first and then go to Heyri.
